Ann Cerney, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in San Rafael, who specializes in supporting people in transition or crisis to make sustainable decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
Ann has worked in various clinical settings in the Chicago suburbs since 2002, including community mental health, private practice, crisis admissions for a hospital emergency department, and intensive outpatient assessment and admissions. Ann joined the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois in 2006, and practiced as a child specialist and divorce coach until last year. Her experience as a mental health professional, understanding the developmental needs of children, complex family systems, and entrenched communication patterns provides a foundation in facilitating co-parenting agreements both during the divorce process and post-decree. Ann is a skilled mediator, trained in 2012, and works often with high conflict families to help craft solutions that will serve the entire family, keeping the needs of the children in the forefront.
