Kathleen Adams, LCSW
Kathleen Adams is a pioneer of the Integrative Mediation movement. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an established psychotherapy practice in Petaluma, CA, she has worked for over 25 years with adults, children and their families dealing with transition, trauma, and divorce.
As an Integrative Mediator, Kathleen has experienced firsthand how the non-adversarial, low-cost IM method helps clients successfully navigate and finalize the complex and emotionally charged legal process of dissolving their marriage. She also believes Integrative Mediation can be successful in mediating legal disputes other than divorce.
Kathleen is also an online adjunct professor for New York State University and a trainer for Bay Area Academy, a division of California State University.
In addition to her clinical practice, Kathleen is an author and film producer. She co-authored the awarding-winning therapeutic children’s book on divorce, On the Day His Daddy Left (Albert Whitman & Company). And she produced the award-winning educational film To Save a Child: Preventing Suicide by Identifying Depression in Elementary School Children, narrated by Mariel Hemingway, now used in school districts throughout the state of California.
